1. Introduction

Giving Future Foundation ('GFF,' 'we,' 'our,' or 'us') respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit givingfuturefoundation.org or make a donation. By using our site, you consent to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and payment information when you donate or sign up for communications. We also collect usage data automatically, including your IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs, through standard server logs and analytics tools.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process donations and send tax receipts, communicate about programs and updates you've opted into, improve our website and services, and comply with legal obligations. We do not use donor data for commercial marketing or sell it to third parties.

4. Information Sharing

We share your information only with service providers who help us operate — including Stripe for payment processing — and only as necessary for those services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of GFF, our donors, or the families we serve. We never sell your personal data.

5. Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. GFF does not store your full credit card numbers, bank account numbers, or other sensitive payment credentials on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data. Recurring donors can manage or cancel their subscriptions at any time through Stripe's customer portal.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or data.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting privacy@givingfuturefoundation.org. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we hold and to opt out of any sale (we do not sell data). We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

8. Cookies and Tracking

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your experience and measure site usage. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, but some features of the site may not function properly as a result. We do not use tracking for behavioral advertising.

9. Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with a revised date. Your continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
